Das Chicagoer Duo Larry Thompson und Rick Lenoir hat auf ihrem Label House Jam Records direkt mit der ersten Veröffentlichung 1987 als Thompson & Lenoir mit „Can’t Stop The House“ einen Klassiker geschaffen.
Für die nächste Release „Work it to the Bone“, verkürzten sie ihren Namen auf LNR. (Der Name steht für Larry and Rick).
Aber auch unter dem Projektnamen Tikkle und anderen Namen sind noch weitere Klassiker entstanden.

Thompson & Lenoir – Can’t Stop the House ’87
Die Original Maxi von 1987 war das Debüt des Duos und die erste Release auf dem Label House Jam Records (#HJA 870001).
Produziert wurde der Song von Adonis, der auf dem ersten offiziellen Entwurf zusammen mit Larry Thompson auch die Vocals beisteuerte. Veröffentlicht wurde der Song dann aber mit den Vocals von Kenya Lenoir & Brenda Parker.
Eine Remix-Version von Steve Silk Hurley folgte 1989 (#HJA 8906).
Dies ist der einzige Titel, der unter dem Namen ‚Thompson & Lenoir‘ veröffentlicht wurde.

LNR – Work it to Bone ’87-89
Larry and Rick verwendeten für ihre zweite Veröffentlichung als Duo den Gruppennamen LNR und schufen direkt mit „Work it to the Bone“ einen weiteren Klassiker. Erschienen 1987 und als Remix 1989 auf House Jam Rec.
In UK wurde der Song von Kool Kat Records veröffentlicht und erreichte in den UK Singe-Charts im Juni 1989 den Platz 64.
