Der Song „Musical Freedom“ erschien bereits 1988 auf dem Londoner Label Cooltempo als Single und Maxi und war Vorbote des Debüt Album „One“ von Paul Simpson. Siehe hierzu das Album-Special
Als Vocals dienten hier die Martin Luther King jr. Rede „I have a Dream“ und das „Alright“ von Sterling Void ft. Paris Brightledge.
Der Song enthält zudem Samples von Toney Lee’s „Reach Up“. (Toney Lee war auch Mitglied von Togetherness, der Vocalgroup vom Album.)
Die Gruppe Phats & Small hatte den Song von Toney Lee noch massiver gesampelt für ihren Hit „Turn Around“ (1999)

Auf dem Album heißt der Song in der Adeva Version nur schlicht „Freedom“. Als Auskopplung aber „Musical Freedom“ mit der Titel-Ergänzung ‚Free at Last‘, aber auf einigen Releases wird der Titel aber mit ‚Moving on Up‘ ergänzt.
In den Credits steht teilweise „Introducing Carmen Marie“, das ist der Geburtsname von Carmen Brown (einem Alias).
Der Song erreichte am 15.04.1989 Platz 22 in den UK Single-Charts.
Der Song ist auch auf Adevas Debüt Album erschienen. Siehe das Adeva Special.
